Die Design and Engineering

computer aided design Hanson Mold's attention to quality begins with an organized and experienced die design and engineering staff which specializes in understanding customer's specific requirements. Utilizing the latest in Computer Aided Design technology, our designers assess potential problems and facilitate communications between our Sales Project Engineers and your engineering department to ensure a quality tool is being produced. Extensive thought and attention to detail have proven to be the keys to Hanson Mold's die design and engineering reputation and high standard of quality.

Hanson Moldīs experienced engineering staff has earned a reputation in the mold and die industry for designing reliable and maintainable tools. Our engineers are careful to consider all aspects of the die design, including castability improvements, flow and thermal analysis, material specifications, customer standards, preferred components, and unique preferences. The 3D part model is considered the master model and is central to the data which supports the design. Once the part model is complete, the die is designed in solids which generate the associated manufacturing models and 2D drawings. The data generated provides long term support for the tool with complete and accurate 2D drawings in the required customer format.

After our engineering and design teammates have finalized the die design, the data is transferred directly to our programming department via our internal network. Based upon this data, our programmers create tool paths that maximize efficiency and accuracy. After using simulation software to verify the accuracy of these tool paths, the programs are sent across the network directly to the specified machine in our machining and manufacturing area. Our goal is to ensure that our customers get the "World Class Tooling" they deserve.
